Extensive renovations and additions were carried out on this circa 1930’s Art Deco, municipally listed family home.
Due to its condition, all original rooms were renovated (apart from the kitchen), and rooms were added along with a large alfresco area to the ground floor.
A generous second storey was constructed as well as a third floor terrace. The second storey captures river views which were unable to be seen previously from the single storey home. From the third storey magnificent vistas of both the river and ocean are infinite.
Leadlight windows were triple glazed and were manufactured especially to match the existing original windows.
A “splattercoat” textured render was applied in keeping with the Art Deco era, and the new clay roof tiles match the original roof cover.
Externally the swimming pool was reduced in size and renovated; landscaping and hardscaping works were undertaken and a perimeter fence was added.
This was a fully turnkey project.
