Terracotta Roof Tiles, Marseille Range
This project involved re-roofing the buildings that surround the Mater Hospital Brisbane, which were damaged in the November 2014 hailstorm. The storm caused damage throughout Brisbane, including to the original terracotta roof tiles.
This project took approximately 12 months and included many challenges, including matching a roof tile to the heritage-listed buildings, accessing different areas of the hospital and working with the steep pitches throughout the complex. The project required approximately 70,000 La Escandella terracotta roof tiles in the colour ‘Roja.’
